Cassie Beverly, age 85, of Rensselaer passed away October, 5, 2011 at the George Ade Memorial Healthcare, Brook, Indiana. Cassie was born November 23, 1925, in Knott County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of Dillard and Elizabeth (Shepard) Richie. Cassie was raised in Knott County and attended the Knott County Schools. She had lived in Rensselaer for 36 years. On May 12, 1948, Cassie was married in Hindman, Kentucky to Garvey Beverly who passed away May 22, 1983. A homemaker, Cassie had been a production worker at Sealy Spring and had also worked in the Potato Shed at Gehring Farms. She was affiliated with the Baptist faith. Surviving Cassie are her children, Arnold (Chrelene) Beverly, Zepher Hills, FL, Glenna Beverly, Brook, IN, Marvin Beverly and Arvin Beverly, both of Rensselaer, three grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and three sisters, Lovellie Joseph, Wheatfield, IN, Trillie Kruger, Michigan City, IN and Shirley Pizazza, Portage, IN. She was preceded in death by one son, her husband and her parents.
