Ernest U. Candelaria, age 85, passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2013. Ernest was born in San Antonito, NM on June 7, 1928, to Olimpio and Antonina Candelaria. Ernest was preceded in death by his parents and sons, Fred Candelaria and Barney Candelaria. Ernest is survived by his loving wife, Lucia Candelaria, his sons, Roman Candelaria and Ernest P. Candelaria and his wife, Elsa, grandchildren, Sasha; Patrick, Roman and his wife, Virna, Aaron and his wife, Loretta, Nathan and Kyle, great-grandchildren, Natalia Barajas, Jayden Bree, Luke, David, Jessie, Christopher and Marley. Ernest was the oldest of twelve children, six brothers and six sisters.
A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. with a Rosary being recited at 5:00 p.m. at Daniels Family Funeral Services - Southern Chapel, 2400 Southern Blvd SE, Rio Rancho, NM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sara Rd SE, Rio Rancho, NM. Interment to follow at San Antonito Cemetery, Sandia Park, NM.
