He died Friday, Aug. 17, 2001.
He was born Sept. 16, 1913, in Brown County and married Lillian Copeland on Dec. 22, 1935, in Colorado City. He was a retired stock farmer and building contractor. He was an outstanding athlete in school sports, setting many school records. He was a member of Dunn Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Margo Lambert of Big Spring and Betse Rosson of Modesto, Calif.; a son, Wade of San Miguel, Mexico; a brother, Carl of Snyder; a sister, Modean Johnston of Snyder; three grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren.
