Sidney "Pa" Davis, Jr., an employee with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, died at 1:50 a.m. Monday, Sept. 16, 2002, at Earl K. Long Medical Center. He was 59 and a native and resident of Baton Rouge.
Visiting at Hall's Mortuary, Port Allen, until religious service, conducted by the Rev. Joe Paul. Interment in Lady of Knight Cemetery.
Survived by his wife, Estella Davis; father, Sidney Davis Sr.; three daughters, Jacqueline Tircuit, Shawanda Tircuit Watson and Tassa Brown; six sons, Sidney Tircuit, Eric Davis, Nathaniel Davis, Sintell Thomas Davis, Rico Thomas and Jay Thomas; two sisters, Mattie Chambers Williams and Beatrice Davis Henderson, both of Port Allen; two brothers, Clarence Davis Jr., Port Allen, and Leroy Davis, Baton Rouge; 23 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Preceded in death by his mother, Mattie Davis; a sister, Daisy Lee Blake; three brothers, Clarence Davis Sr., Hamp Davis and Charles Davis; three aunts, Charlotte Williams, Lesie Mae Paul and Gurtie Hawkins.
