Ruth E. Aument, 62, of Peach Bottom, entered into rest on Friday, April 14, 2017. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Nancy (Weidman) Hubbs. She and her husband, Philip S. Aument had celebrated 20 years of marriage in October.
Ruth graduated from Solanco High School in 1972 and went on to work at Burnham Boiler Company in Lancaster for over 29 years. She was a member of Little Britain Presbyterian Church. Ruth was a quilter, many of her quilts she would donate to local charities.
Surviving besides her husband is a daughter, Ellen Jones, step-son Scott Aument, Jr. and step-daughter Jessica Denver (Joe) along with grandchildren; DeVonte, DeDric and step-grandchildren; Ava, Leah and Joey. Ruth also has a sister, H. Lorrie Aument. She was preceded in death by twin sisters, Diana Lynn and Linda Diane.
Funeral Services will be on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 11:00 AM from the Little Britain Presbyterian Church, 255 Little Britain Church Road, Peach Bottom, PA. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. There will be a viewing at the church on Wednesday prior to the service from 10:00 – 11:00 AM.
