She was born July 16, 1949, in Germany, the daughter of Walter and Ruth Nitsche Adolf. She moved to Cairo, Ill., from Germany in 1970 and then to Madison in 1978. She was formerly employed at the U.S. Shoe Corp. in Madison and was currently working for Arvin Sango. She was a member of the Baptist church in Cairo, Ill. She loved animals and flowers, especially roses.
She is survived by one son, Thomas Murray of Madison; one sister, Birgit Adolf of Germany; one brother, Wolfgang Adolf of Germany; one half brother, Gerd Nitsche of Germany; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Linley Murray, whom she married in 1969 and who died in 1971; and her parents.
A graveside service and burial was held at Green Lawn Memorial Gardens at Villa Ridge in Cairo, Ill.
