LORENZO A. ARCHIBALD was born April 11, 1844, in Nova Scotia, where he grew to manhood. In 1868 he removed to Robard's Station, Ky., and in 1869 came to Slaughterville, where he still resides. His father, Dr. David Archibald, of Nova Scotia, was born in 1799, and for the past twelve years has been a revenue collector there. He is the son of Isaac, a native of England. David was twice married, first to Miss Sallie Thompson, a native of Scotland. Their children are Silas, Melville, subject, and Edwin; by his second marriage: Sarah and Wilbur. In youth, Lorenzo A. was favored with a classical education and is a man of extensive reading. He was married September 15, 1875, to Miss Miranda (born in 1857), daughter of Joel Parker, of Webster County, Ky., and to their union have been born Ralph P., Sudie C. and David W. Our subject in youth commenced the study of medicine with his father, and in 1869 attended lectures at Louisville Medical College, where he graduated in 1872.
