Dr. Louis Fidel, 82, of Springfield died yesterday in Glenside Nursing Home, New Providence.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. tomorrow in New Mount Zion Cemetery, Lyndhurst. Arrangements are by the Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union.
Dr. Fidel maintained a private dental practice in Springfield for many years before retiring 10 years ago.
He earned a bachelor's degree from Rutgers University, Newark, in the 1940s and a dental degree from the University of Minnesota Dental School in 1947.
He served in the Army during World War II.
Dr. Fidel was a member of the Arlington Players Club of Kearny and a past president of the Newark Ozeraner Society.
Born in Newark, he lived in Springfield since 1958.
Surviving are sons, Mitchel and Sim; a daughter, Jeanne Barron, and two grandchildren.
