Dale McComb, Jr., 80, of Reno died Saturday August 4, 2012 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday August 9, 2012 at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home with Rev. Tiny Freelen officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen cemetery with Masonic services and military honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday 7-9 p.m.
He was born December 17, 1931 in Kalamazoo, MI a son of Dale Alliance and Martha Milton McComb. He married Eugia Lee (Jean) McComb on October 20, 1949 in Utah.
He retired from the Air Force after 21 years of active duty, serving in the Korean War and 10 years inactive, was a private investigator, a member of the Paris Police Reserves and owned and operated Royal and Eastside cleaners for 36 years. He was 32nd degree Mason being a member of the Paris Masonic Lodge where he had been a member for over 50 years having received his 50 year pin. He was a member of the Hella Temple Shrine in Dallas.
He is preceded in death by his wife Jean; son Clifford McComb and daughter Donna Gail McComb.
He is survived by his daughter Beverly Denise McComb Moore and husband Rex; grandchildren Brandon Chad McComb and his children Drake and Shelby; Bryan Cody McComb, Austin McComb, Michael Moore and Kimberly Moore and their children Mikali, Savannah and Landon; Chris Moore and wife and children Dakota, Hunter and Cooper; brother Merle McComb of Michigan and special cousins Dave and Donnie Milton of Michigan; sisters-in-law Nadine and husband Wyndell David, Mary Loar, Neal Carroll and numerous nieces and nephews.
