THE PARIS NEWS Sun., Oct. 26, 1958. 'Dr. Reavis Dies Here Saturday - Dr. Charles M. Reavis, 632 S. Main St., who had practiced dentistry here since 1912, died Saturday night at 7:30 at the Sanitarium of Paris, where he had been a patient for a week. Funeral services will be held Monday, Oct. 27, at Fry & Gibbs Chapel, conducted by Dr. Ronald Prince, pastor of First Baptist Church, where Dr. Reavis was an active deacon and member of the Wright Bible Class at the time of his death. Burial will be made in Evergreen Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, the former Mollie Abbott Gray, whom he married in Hillsboro in 1905; one stepson, Logan M. Gray, Paris; a sister, Miss Rebecca Reavis, Dallas; and three brothers, L.D. Reavis, Ft. Smith, Ark, J. Wyatt Reavis, High Point, NC, and Z.H. Reavis, Yadkinville, NC. Born May 25, 1873, in Yadkin County, Dr. Reavis was the son of the late Will Reavis and Dicey Rebecca Steelman Reavis. He attended Yadkinville public schools and Yadkinville Junior College. He attended dental school in Dallas and passed the state dental board examination May 23, 1893. He started his own office in Itasca in 1902 and after a few years moved to Covington, Tex., where he practiced until 1912, when he established his practice here. He was a member of the Lamar County Dental Society and a member of the state Dental Association.'
