Memorial service for Harry B. Hersey Jr., 81, Flagler Beach, who died Sept. 24, 2006 at Flagler Pines Nursing Home, Bunnell, will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 S.W. 102nd Ave., Bushnell. Mr. Hersey was born Oct. 29, 1924, in St. Augustine and moved to this area from Edgewater in 2000. He was a graduate of Rollins College, Winter Park. He was retired as an Air Force chief master sergeant and was a member of Flagler Beach United Methodist Church, Selective Service System, St. Petersburg, U.S. Veterans Administration, American Legion, and past president of Toastmasters International. Mr. Hersey loved fishing and traveling. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Marie; and two sons, Robert, Jacksonville, and Kent, Venus, Texas. Memorial donations may be made to Flagler Beach United Methodist Church, 1520 S. Daytona Ave./ P.O. Box 929, Flagler Beach, FL 32136, or Alzheimers Association, 111 N.
