Born at Sharon Hills, NY, Pvt Roberts was a member of Company F, 310th Infantry, 78th Division. He was killed in action near Ohlenburg at the Kretzhaus crossing, according to his son, Everett J. Roberts.

"Pvt. Everett Roberts Private Roberts, 27, father of a 7-year-old son, lost his life Mar. 12 while serving with General Hodges' 78th Lightning Division in Germany, his wife, Mrs. Marie W. Roberts, 15 Magnolia Ter. has been notified by the War Department. Son of Mr. and Mrs. Holmes Roberts, North St, Cobleskill, Private Roberts attended Cobleskill schools and entered the armed forces in May, 1944. His last letter, dated Mar. 7, Germany, was received by his wife this week, following the War Department message. Two brothers, Ernest and Clifford, are fighting in the Pacific. Others surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Everett Johnson, Mrs. Marion Morrell and Miss Eva Roberts, and another brother, Walter Roberts of Schenectady.
