Virginia M. Fenner, 97, of Syracuse passed away Wednesday at Upstate @ Community General Hospital surrounded by family. She was born in Syracuse to Arthur and Olive Crook. She was a member and organist at the South Onondaga United Methodist Church for over 50 years and organist for the Navarino and Cardiff churches also. She was a member of the Grange and Eastern Star, Morning Star Chapter of Marcellus. She was predeceased by her son Jerome in 1986. Surviving are two sons, A. David (Barbara) Fenner of Chittenango, Ernest Fenner of Syracuse; 11 grandchildren, Wendy (Patrick) Holmes, Julie (Mark) Reese, Ernest Fenner (Mary), Donald (Rhonda) Fenner, Brian (Valerie) Fenner, David Kelly, Dawn (Jamison) Zimmer, Jeremy (Tracy) Fenner, Chad Fenner (Jen), Shannon Mondore, James Jones; many great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson; a cousin, Mary Lou Crowley. Services: 12 noon Monday Sept. 24 at Butler-Badman Funeral Home, Inc., 4504 W. Seneca Tpk. Interment Oakwood Morningside Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 10 am until noon at the funeral home.
