Enoch was the son of Johann Andreas Weber and Maria Herlinger. He was the husband of Maria Elizabeth Koenig.7 Oct 1751 Johann Enoch Weber aka Weaver arrived in Philladelphia on the ship 'Janet". He went directily down to the court house the same day and swore his allegence to the British Crown,

Christined 16 April 1725 in Grosswgarthach, Dorfshaft Gartig (Germany since 1871). He was christined as Johan Enoch Weber and changed the spelling during his lifetime. He served as the local tax collecter for the Crown until the War. Had a brother named William who went to Darke Co. Ohio. His son John Adam Weaver served two years for his father. John Adam also served 2 years for his brother inlaw, John Apple who himself had already served two years. Contiental line under Capt Wetstone. The very one that Leonard and Reinhart Schnepp served.

As well as working as the tax collector, Enoch bought and sold land for years. He and his wife Mary did finally make their permenant home in Pinegrove, Pennsylvana. But all the children had already been born in Northampton Co.

He married Mary Elizabeth Catrina VanCampen on 9 Oct 1755 in Tohickon Reformed Church, Bedminster, Bucks Co., PA. Together they raised 7 children:

Enoch had been raised in the Hamilton Lutheran and Reformed, Mary in the St. John Lutheran and Reformed. The records for both churches are held by the LDS church and can be obtained thru on of the Family History Centers.

I have quite a bit history on Enoch and all his land deals as well as the church records as to when he attened church. Sometime Mary went back to her home church to attend.

DAR confirms that even before the Rev War, Enoch was active in the cause to become seperated from England and is listed as a Patriot.

In 1805, the men of St. John's Freindenburg Reformed Church who fought in the Rev War, left Pine Grove in a large group and went to Ohio. They wanted to hand pick the land that they wanted to be given to them for the land grants connected with being in the war. Enoch and his wife did not go with them. Out of the 7 children and their families, only Anna Maria "Mary" stayed with her parents.

I am willing to share with anyone!!

I have 4 generations up for Mary Elizabeth VanCampen. I have ask over and over for her and have never got an answer. If I don't soon, I will place her informtion here with her husband.

Proof of Mary Elizabeth's linage is a marriage bond for her marriage to Enoch Weaver was signed by Col. Abramham VanCampen. Can't get any better than that!
