George Jeffries
Frostburg - George G. Jeffries, 87, of 68 West Main Street, died yesterday at Miner's Hospital where he had been admitted September 28.
Born in Frostburg, he was a son of the late Samuel and Susan (Hocking) Jeffries and was the last surviving member of that family.
He was a member of First Methodist Church and BPO Elks Lodge 470.
Surviving are his wife, Edith (Price) Jeffries; two daughters, Mrs. Robert Barnes, New York City, and Mrs. Mark Felton, Old Westbury, Long Island, N.Y. and five grandchildren.
The body is at the Durst Funeral Home where friends will be received from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 p.m.
A service will be conducted there tomorrow at 2 p.m. Rev. Leonard Ranson will officiate and interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.
The Elks will hold a service at the funeral home today at 8 p.m.
Pallbearers will be George Hale, Jack Dillon, Jonathan Jenkins, Arthur Roe, Corsey Bolden and Ralph
