Warren Clansen Sams son of John Warren Sams and Agnes Blackwell, married Naomi Ramsey, daughter of John Ramsey and Mary Everly Ramsey.

There are several children that aren't linked to their parents:
Mary Didema "Demmy" Sams, born, June 12, 1828, died January 11, 1913, on June 28, 1850, she married Reubin Raphael Ball, born May 21, 1827, died, February 3, 1899. He served in CSA, CO. A, 64th Regiment, NC Infantry (Allen's).

William Washington Sams, born, 1834, died, January 6, 1864, Camp Morton, Indianapolis,Marion County, Indiana, he served in the CSA, CO A 62nd and 64th Regiment NC Infantry (Allen's). Enlisted May 1862 along with Asa and James R. Sams. On June 30, 1852, married Rachel Moore, born 1836, she was the daughter of Bayless Moore and Sarah "Sally" Stroud. In 1860 Census, had Rachel listed as 24 years old, with 3 children, Sarah C Sams, age 5, Mary A. E. Sams, age 3, and Lucracy J. Sams, age 1. Has her listed as a farmer, but no mention of husband William Sams.
