Houston-Maye Jennings Hilton, 86, passed away Nov. 25 1996 at Trace Regional Hospital in Houston due to cardiopulmonary arrest.
Hilton was born on June 15 1910 in Chickasaw County to Aussie Austin Jennings and Mary Odell Murphree. She was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held Nov 27 at Houston Funeral Home Chapel and interment followed at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery with Rev. Bobby Lynn Brock officiating.
She was preceded in death by her husband, the late J E Hilton, who passed away on Oct. 25 1993. She is survived by one granddaughter, Janice Swanson of Houston, and two grandsons, Jimmy Fields and Jackie Fields, both of Louisiana.
Pallbearers include W M Allen, Ricky Allen, Richard Yance, D W McGee, John Turman and Bruce Griffin.
