Father to William Robert, Virginia Caroline, Mary Elizabeth, Marcella Agnes, Sarah Gertrude, Charles Fleming, Thomas Henry, Franklin Artis, Bertha A., Myrtle Mae and John Martin Grisham.

Martin VanBuren Grisham was born in McMinn County, Tenn., June 2, 1840. In the year of 1859 he was married to Mary Katherine Eaton. To this union were born eleven children, eight of who are still living. They are as follows. Jennie Wattenbarger, Isabella, Mo., Mollie Blacksher, Gainesville, Mo., Gertie Capeheart, Neosho, Mo., Marcella Goodwin, Clay Center, Kans., Charley Grisham, Gainesville, Mo., Tom Grisham, Webb City, Mo., Frank Grisham, Gainesville, Mo., and Myrtle Kindstrom, Clay Center, Kansas.
Mr. Grisham came to Webster County in 1866 where he lived a few years, coming there to Ozark County, where he spent the remainder of his life. In the year 1875 he became a member of the Southern Methodist church. Since then he lived a life devoted to God, his children and his friends.
On Oct. 2, 1893, he was bereft of his companion, surviving her 23 years and 3 hours. On Oct. 2, 1916, he passed from his earthly home to his home in heaven.

He is gone but not forgotten,
Well remembered by us all;
For the kindest, truest spirt
God will always chose to call.

Martin Grisham Dead.
Uncle Martin Grisham, one of Ozark County's highly esteemed pioneer citizens, died on Monday evening at the home of his son, Charles, on Lilly Ridge. All his sons and daughters were at his bedside when he passed away. The remains were laid to rest in the Gainesville Cemetery on Tuesday evening. Rev. J. W. Sullivan conducted the funeral services.
