Mrs. G.W. Milner, one of Pike's oldest and most beloved Christian ladies died at her home about three miles of Zebulon on last Saturday afternoon, surrounded by friends and relatives. Although Mrs. Milner was in her 74th year, the announcement of her death was quite a surprise to many of her friends as she had been sick only a few days. She leaves a husband and one daughter besides a number of loving friends to mourn her death.
The funeral services occurred at the residence last Monday at 10 o'clock, conducted by her pastor, Rev. J.W. Beck. The remains were interred in the family burying ground near the house.
