Obituary: FARMER FOUND IN BARN SENSELESS DIES SHORTLY AFTER REMOVAL TO HOUSE. Frank B. Shaffer,a farmer living three miles northeast of Sturgis, Michigan, on the Charles Cominator farm, was found unconscious in his barn yesterday afternoon and died shortly after being removed to his house. Mr.Shaffer had started out earlier in the day to make a trip to Bronson but some reason or other returned. His wife (Mary) had in the meantime gone to a neighbor's home for a visit, but seeing her husband drive past on his way back she hurried home. Not finding Mr. Shaffer in the house, she started to investigate. She found him lying on the floor in the barn unconscious with his horse partly unhitched. Dr.Runyan was hurriedly summonded and the man removed to the house where he died without regaining consciousness. It is thought that death was due to a stroke of apoplexy. Arrangements for the funeral will be announced later. Burial Oak Lawn Cemetery, Sturgis,MI.
