Richard Adams Armstrong was born Sept. 6, 1926 in Gardner, Illlinois. He was the son of Lester and Olive (Adams) Armstrong. He graduated from the Wilmington High School in Wilmington, Illinois. Dick married A. Jane Blogg on Sept. 21, 1947 in Symerton, Illinois. They had celebrated sixty-six years together last fall.

Dick was a retired dairy and grain farmer from Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Eleanor Bell, Elaine Armstrong and Ramona Weber.
