Johnie Benjamin Jones attended School of the Ozarks where he met and married his lifetime sweetheart Valentine Griffith. During that time, Johnie was employed for 15 years as manager at the School of the Ozarks canning factory. He served 4 consecutive terms as Taney County Tax Collector and was well known as a culinary hush puppy expert at Empire Park. Johnie was a member of the Community Presbyterian Church of Forsyth, and a 70 year member of the Branson Masonic Lodge. He was also a member of the Abou Ben Adhem Branson Shriners, serving as Rajah in 1967 and member of the motorcycle corps. He was a 67 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a Forsyth Lions Club Charter Member. Johnie and Valentine traveled all over the globe, and spent many years wintering in Florida, then later Texas with the Hillbilly Rollers Travel Club and he was proud to have visited all 50 states.
