Mrs. Etta Ebblie Philius, wife of Cornelius Philius, passed away Saturday evening at nine o'clock at her home in Olean. Mrs. Philius was born in Lowville, August 8, 1853, and had resided in Olean for thirty-three years. She was a member of the First Methodist Episcopal church and a member of Electa Chapter No. 84, O. E. S. Besides her husband she is survived by one son, Harry B. Philius, of Youngstown, Ohio; three grandchildren; one sister, Miss Harriet Ebblie, and a brother, William A. Ebblie, of Lowville. Funeral services were held Monday at 2 o'clock at her home in Olean. The remains were brought to Lowville Tuesday morning and placed in the vault in Rural cemetery.
