She was born February 4, 1929 in Pana, the daughter of George and Anna Palmoski Ambrose. Aldona lived in Pana her entire life and was a 1947 graduate of Pana Township High School. She was a homemaker, enjoyed cooking, and loved her family very much. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Pana; Pana Community Hospital Auxiliary; and a past Brownie leader.
Aldona M. Ambrose and Jerome L. Klee were united in marriage on September 27, 1947 in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Pana.
Aldona is survived by her daughters: Georgann Turner & husband Stephen, Taylorville, IL; Debra Garrison & husband Gary, Taylorville, IL; Kathleen Klee, Rochester, IL; 5 grandchildren: Christine Rivecco, Janis Garrison, Courtney Mohr, Cindy Wagner, and Jason Garrison; 6 great grandchildren: Mia, Cara, Anthony, Alexia, Alex, and Oliver.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in May 1996; granddaughter: Laura Lyn Garrison; sisters: Pat Juzaitis, Elizabeth Pastor, Ann Marie Chap, & Elaine Schloz; and brothers: Andrew Ambrose & Joseph Ambrose.
Funeral mass will be Monday, February 8, 2010 in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Pana at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Don Cunningham, S.J. officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Pana. Friends may call on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home with rosary at 7:00 p.m.
