Mrs. Gladys Daigre, age 83 of Winnfield, Louisiana passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2009, at the Winn Parish Medical Center in Winnfield.
Born Tuesday, January 19, 1926 in Dodson, Louisiana, she was the daughter of the late John Curtis Moffett and the late Grace Janie Chadrick Moffett.
She was a member of South Winnfield Baptist Church.
Surviving are sons, Junious W. Daigre and wife Velma of Jonesboro, LA, Henry Curtis Daigre and wife Vicky of Winnfield, LA and Frank M. Daigre of Winnfield, LA, daughters, Oudia Diann Austin of Winnfield, LA and Roxie Dunn and husband Glenn of Oakdale, LA, brother, John Moffett and wife Starla of Bonicia, CA, sister, Essie Connor of Winnfield, LA; 17 grand children; 25 great grand children; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Junious "J.O." Daigre, great grandson, Jonathan Ardoin, and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at South Winnfield Baptist Church with the Rev. Jack Miller, Rev. Kenneth Tarver, and Rev. Billy Verhoef officiating. Interment will be in Garden Of Memories Cemetery, Winnfield, LA.
Michael Dunn, Billy Wayne Daigre, Junious Lee Daigre, Eric Austin, Raymond Rowlan, and Martin "Marty" Connor will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, December 22, 2009, at Southern Funeral Home in Winnfield, and on Wednesday at South Winnfield Baptist Church from 9:00 AM until service time.
