Mr. James Allen Jones, age 73, of 2477 North Highway 68 in Sandersville died Friday March 5 in the Washington County Regional Medical Center in Sandersville.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00pm Monday March 8 in the Antioch Christian Church in Oconee. The Rev. Dennis Burgess and Rev. David Fincher will officiate with burial in the Antioch Christian Church Cemetery with Masonic graveside rites. Pallbearers will be Randy Summerlin, Jimmy Pittman, Kenny Crawford, Darrell Brantley, Noel Godfrey, David Brantley, Jeff Brantley and Clay Brantley.

Mr. Jones was a native and life long resident of Washington County, the son of the late Roy Harris Jones and the late Gladys Brooks Jones. He was a retired quality control supervisor for Thiele Kaolin Company with 41 years of service. Mr. Jones was a member of the Antioch Christian Church and the Tennille Masonic Lodge # 256.

Survivors are his wife, Dorothy Brantley Jones of Sandersville, his children, Camille Jones Taylor and her husband Tony of Tennille and Lori Jones Stafford and her husband Mike of Sandersville, seven grandchildren, Brantley Stafford, Allen Stafford, Roseanna Stafford, Zachary Taylor, Lily Kate Taylor, T.J. Taylor and Brandy McDermit, a sister, Elizabeth Johnson of Milledgeville.

The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 4:00 until 6:00pm on Sunday. The family suggest donations be made to the Antioch Christian Church Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 4, Oconee, Georgia 31067.
