Donald E. Elles, 70, of Avon, died Monday, Jan. 19, 2009.

He was born April 22, 1938, in Madison. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was co-partner of Elles Association from 1988 until his retirement in 2000. He was a member of the Moose Lodge 500 and the CPR Golf Men's League.

He is survived by his wife, Becky Elles; four children, David Elles and Brian Elles, both of Madison, Susan Smith of Milton, Ky., and Jonathan Elles of Avon; one stepson, Matthew Strosnider of Indianapolis; his mother, of Madison; one brother, Gayle Elles of Hanover; one sister, Gloria Moore of Hanover; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

The funeral was at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 23rd. at Flanner & Buchanan Funeral Center in Speedway. Burial in West Ridge Park Cemetery.

Friends called at the funeral home on Thursday, Jan. 22nd. from 4 to 8 p.m.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Jonathan Elles Education Fund through National City Bank.
