Grand Army Veteran Died Early Sunday Morning
Was Old Time Carpenter

Edwin C. Maynard, 814 Kilburn Avenue, died early Sunday morning after an illness of several months. He was a veteran carpenter, having followed that line of trade in Rockford for years. Mr. Maynard was corporal of Company D. seventy-forth Illinois infantry during the civil war and was a member of Nevius Post, G.A.R. He is related to Mrs. T.W. Carrico.
