Born in Maysville, Mr. Parton had lived in St Joseph most of his life. He resided at 121 Moose. He was a retired carpenter. Mr. Parton was a member of the Lacy Memorial Chapel. He had been an assigned minister, having been ordained by the late Rev. Earl Weiser. Mr. Parton was a veteran of World War II.
He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Goldie Hodgeman of St Joseph and Mrs. Lillie Michael of Bowling Green, Mo.; and a brother, Clifford E. Parton, of Oxin, England." St Joseph News-Press, October 7, 1975
