JOYNT, Richard G., of Moseley, died Saturday, February 26, 2011 at the age of 74. He is survived by his wife, Kat; his sons, Steve and Bill Joynt and their respective wives, Nancy and Cheryl Joynt; his daughter, Victoria Bosse‚ and her husband, Lou; grandchildren, Michael and Jaclyn Boss‚; his sister, Bea, and brother-in-law, Frank Blasdell; and his brother, Bob, and sister-in-law, Ann Joynt.

Mr. Joynt practiced law at Hunton & Williams for 39 years and loved to teach and mentor young lawyers. In business and personal matters, his colleagues, family and friends looked to him for his wisdom, good judgment and compassion.

Among his proud achievements was the creation of a foundation known as the Christmas Fund, which for many years provided food, clothes and toys for those in need in the Richmond community at Christmas time.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, at the Chesterfield Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 14301 Ashbrook Parkway, followed by a memorial service at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Hampden-Sydney Fund, P.O. Box 637, Hampden-Sydney, Va. 23943, would be appreciated.
