Dagmar "Doris" Layton, 77, passed away Friday, May 14, 2004, at a local hospital.
Funeral: 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in Mount Olivet Chapel. Burial: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home.

Dagmar "Doris" Layton was born Nov. 26, 1926, in Fort Worth. She was a longtime member of Azle Avenue Baptist Church. Doris retired from LTV Aerospace in 1988. She was a world traveler and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by parents, Angel and Annie Korteff; husband, James F. Burnette; and sisters, Janie and Toni.
Survivors: Husband, Carlton Layton; son, Paul Burnette of Godley; daughters, Carolyn Ramsey of Marietta, Ga., Darlene Lowe of Fort Worth and Rhonda Berry of Tyler; sister, Romaine "Dollie" Hovland; stepdaughters, Diana Thetford of Blue Mound and Jo Ella Downes of Wichita Falls; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
