A product of Rancocas Valley (N.J.) Regional High School, Reid won three varsity letters in football and was voted All-South Jersey as a senior. In 2001, he enrolled at Villanova and spent that campaign as a redshirt. He saw limited playing time as a reserve in 2002 and 2003 but was projected at No. 2 on the depth chart at guard heading into the start of practice for the 2004 campaign.
Reid is survived by his parents, Mark and Barbara Reid, and two brothers, Mark Jr. and Sean.
