Race Horse. He was champion of the 1986 Preakness Stakes. Foaled in California, the offspring of Reflected Glory and Miss Snowflake, he was owned by Carl Grinstead and Ben Rochelle, and trained by Mel Stute. The black stallion recorded his first major victory at the Hollywood Futurity in 1985, followed with a win at the Norfolk Stakes that same year. In 1986 the horse achieved his greatest success with championships at the Jersey Derby, Florida Derby, Santa Anita Derby, and most notably the Preakness Stakes. He was named Eclipse Award Champion three-year-old male that year. During the course of his career, he compiled 13 wins in 24 races and amassed more than 3.3 million in earnings. He died from a heart attack at age 27. (bio by: C.S.)
