William was a son of William Charles Hottel and Eliza Ann Reynolds. He was the husband of Ida Myrtle Fitzgerald and after being widowed, was also the husband of Rhoda Painter. He had seven children with his first wife and adopted his first wife's eldest child. More information and photographs may be made available to family members if contributor is contacted directly. WILLIAM W. HOTTEL, Died at his home,Sunday, March 23,1956. Born in Clarington, Forest Co., Nov 1,1874, the son of William Charles and Eliza Reynolds Hottel, he was first married to the former Ida M. Fitzgerald. Following her death he married the former Rhoda Painter, who survives.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by six sons and daughters, Harvey [sic] A. Hottel and Mrs. Stella M. Kane, of Mt Jewett; Mrs. Dessie Vasbinder, of Kane; Mrs. Olive A. Carlson, of Jamestown,N.Y.; Lowell O. Hottel,of DuBois; and Mrs Orpha Wargo, of Franklin; and a brother C.W.Hottel, of Brookville, PA. Interment will be at the Brookville Cemetery, Brookville, PA.
