Pilot Officer in the Royal Canadian Air Force. Son of Edna Wood and Brigadier-General R. H. Bedell, brother of L. Wood Bedell. Reginald Bedell attended Northern Vocational School, Upper Canada College and Porter Military Academy. He served as a choir boy at Grace Church on-the-Hill, Toronto, and was a divinity student at the University of the South, Sewanee, Tennessee, at the time of his enlistment. Bedell earned his wings in Dauphin, Manitoba, which resulted in his shipment overseas in November, 1942. On December 19, 1942, Pilot Officer Bedell was a crewmember on a Wellington bomber ordered to do a reconnaisance flight over the North Sea. The crew never returned.
Reginald Bedell is listed among the Grace Church on-the-Hill Honour Roll 1939-45.
