Musician. A talented pianist, Connor was a member of the successful and influential 1970s and 1980s Country/Rock band, 'Pure Prairie League.' The band formed in Cincinnati, Ohio, in 1971 and included at various times, Vince Gill, Mike Reilly, Jim Lanham, Craig Fuller, John David Call, Larry Goshorn, and Billy Hinds. The band recorded and had several hits throughout there career including Top 40 and Top Tens. Among there many recordings are, 'Goodbye So Long', 'Jerene', 'I'm Goin' Away', 'Misery Train', 'White Line', 'Amie', 'Harvest', 'Fool Fool', 'Kentucky Harvest', 'Long Cold Winter', and 'You Are So Near To Me.' The band disbanded in 1987 after being together for 16 years, but got together in 1998 for a reunion concert. On September 2, at the age of 54, Connor passed away at his home in Siesta Key, Florida, following a battle with cancer.
