Alex A. Willemsen, 77, formerly of Salt Lake City, died June 19, 1991 at Berkley Heights Nursing Home in Berkley Heights, New Jersey.

Born in Blackfoot, Idaho to Cornelius N. and Johanna Van der Weil September 29, 1913. He lived in Salt Lake City most of his life before moving to Westfield, New Jersey two years ago. He was employed as an appraiser for the State of Utah Tax Commissioner in Salt Lake City for ten years, before retiring in 1978. He was a member of the Free and Accepted Masons in Salt Lake City. He was an Army Veteran of World War II, and a graduate of West High School in Salt Lake City. He was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Marjorie Mejia, who died in 1986.

Survived by son; daughter; two brothers; a sister; two grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday, at Gray Funeral Home in Westfield, New Jersey. Contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Foundation, Local Chapter in Salt Lake City.
