Memorials may be left for his granddaughter's education fund. Fippinger Funeral Home, Aledo, is in charge of arrangements.
He was born Jan. 3, 1929, in Mercer County, a son of Boyd and Myrtle Anderson Nesbitt. He attended the Hardy County School and Aledo High School.
He married Rhoda E. Muhlenburg Sept. 11, 1950, in Muscatine, Iowa. She died Dec. 14, 1997.
Alfred farmed the family farm with his father for many years, retiring in 1992. He loved auto mechanics.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Clifford and Traci Nesbitt, a granddaughter, Jill, and a brother and sister-in-law, Ed and Marian Nesbitt, all of Aledo; and several nieces and nephews.
