Ivan C. O'Blosser, 67, of 2617 W. Front St., Berwick, died at his home Tuesday morning, Dec. 3, 2002.
Born Jan. 26, 1935, in Briar Creek Borough, he was a son of the late Charles and Freda Davis O'Blosser.
A staff sergeant in the Air Force during the mid-1950s, Mr. O'Blosser served in France and Africa.
As a young man, he worked for Jim Dick of Bloomsburg, hauling equipment. Later he was employed by Barletta's of Hazleton, and was a service man for the former Tri-County Oil Co. from 1979 until until retiring in 1999. Mr. O'Blosser was self-employed in the heating business.
He attended St. John's Lutheran Church, Mifflinville.
He enjoyed woodworking and travel.
His wife, the former Norma J. Roth, died in September 2002. Three sisters also died previously: Dawn O'Blosser, Janice Hause and June Keck, as did three brothers: Franklin, Max and Boyd O'Blosser.
He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Wayne (Wanda) Rinehimer, Berwick R.R.4; a son, Wendell W. O'Blosser, Mifflinville; four grandchildren; and four sisters: Joyce Buehler, Gouldsboro, N.C.; Joanne Dautrich, Berwick; Mrs. Victor (Sharon) Barnes, Wilson, N.C. and Mrs. Larry (Kay) Santora, Berwick.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the James L. Hinckley Jr. Funeral Home, 1024 Market St., Berwick, with the Rev. Erwin Roux, pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge.
