Obituary for Thelma Lee Beall
Graveside services for Thelma Lee Beall, 91, of Longview will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 25, 2020, at the New White Oak Cemetery in White Oak. On Saturday, January 18, 2020; Thelma, loving mother and memaw, passed away surrounded by her loving family in Longview.
Thelma was born May 19, 1928 in Glenwood, Texas to the late Frank Medlin and Eddie Woodruff. She received a degree from Tyler Junior College and worked as a bookkeeper for many years before retirement. She married Lonnie Beall, Sr. on December 24, 1947 and they would spend their lives together until his passing in 2011. Thelma had a passion for her family and a love for Elvis. She was known for her infectious smile as well as her kind and compassionate spirit. She was the true matriarch of her family and will be dearly missed by those she leaves behind.
She is survived by her granddaughters Tanya Malone and husband Todd, Kim Shofner and husband Bo; a brother J.C. Medlin; great grandchildren Alisha Setser and husband Paul, Nikki Hooper and husband Jason, Matthew Borden and wife Lindsey, Genesis Cox, Mia Haynes, Jayden Cox and Jace Haynes; great grandchildren Jonathon Nobles, Hayden Nobles, Kayci Nobles, Cooper Borden, Jaxon Hawthorne, Breanna Badgett, Colt Borden, Blayklee Borden and Emari Setser as well as many nieces, nephews and close lifelong friends.
Thelma is preceded in death by her parents Frank Medlin and Eddie Woodruff Medlin, husband Lonnie Beall, Sr. and daughter Jimmie Beall.
