"Elam N. O'Dell, seventy-nine, veteran of the Civil War and a widely known cabinet-maker, died at 6 o'clock Friday evening at the family home on West Franklin street, following a lingering illness. Funeral services was conducted at the residence at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon, and interment was made in Fountain Park Cemetery. The deceased is survived by the widow; four daughters, Mrs. John Wright, of Union City; Mrs. Bernie Snook, of Topeka, Kan,; Mrs. Eldon Frye, of Muncie, and Mrs. Addie Parker, of Springfield, Mo., and three sons, Charles O'Dell, of Topeka, Kan.,; John O'Dell, of Muncie, and Grover O'Dell, of Winchester."∼CO F ?
