200 yds S of the Spring on Spear's land. near the branch on the side of the hill in the open field. in a pit. numbered from the SE side of the pit: 16th Wisconsin: Gundlach, Stoddard, Lomison, E-432 Unknown to E-438 Unknown (supposed to be burials of the 16th Wisconsin Infantry exclusively), Thomas, Coleman.

Looking into the death records for 21 July 1894, for the 16th Wisconsin and 12th Wisconsin, which were in the same brigade on 21 July and 22 July, I found the following:
