Clara Conn was expecting her second son when she went to visit her dying mother, Minerva Frances Douglass Conn. Mrs. John Floyd Conn Sr., had her daughter make a "deathbed promise" to name the unborn child after her. Even though it was a boy, she did. They didn't even call him Frank, which was a Hennington family name; they used the initials. After he became an adult, he legally changed his name to M.F. (initials only) Hennington.
