Joachim married Lunetta Makeléer (1639-1693) on August 9, 1657 or 1659 in Goteborg, Sweden. Lunetta was the daughter of John Hans Makeléer of Scotland who had moved to Sweden.

Career:
He was a colonel at the Narva fortress starting in 1679. He was the colonel for the Savolaks and Nyslott regiments in 1683. He became the commandant of Neumünde and died on March 5, 1703.

Death:
He died on March 5, 1703 at Neumünde in Riga in Latvia. The cause of death is unknown.

The list of siblings and children was updated by ignoring the error in "Svenska adelns ättar-taflor" by Gabriel Anrep that was published in 1858. This error was corrected by Gustaf Elgenstierna in the 1920s. There has been confusion between the Anna Catharina Cronman I that was born circa 1620-1630, and the Anna Catharina Cronman II that was born circa 1660. Updated on April 10, 2014 with a new estimate of his birth based on attending the University of Tartu in 1645.
