Rosemary Foster Slaven, 89, of the Huntsville Manor Nursing Home, and formerly of the Foster Crossroads community, died early Monday morning, December 6, 1993, at the Scott County Hospital. She was born in Scott County on July 22, 1904.

She was the daughter of the late Morris Foster and the late Katie Kathryn Chambers Foster.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three daughters, two sisters and one brother. She was of the Baptist faith.

Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at the West-Murley Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in the Katie Blevins Cemetery. West-Murley Funeral Home had charge of arrangements. (Source: The Independent Herald, 9 Dec 1993, p8)
