A native of Nacogdoches County, Texas, Mrs. Wright was born on March 12, 1917, the daughter of Joseph Lee and Rosa (Chalker) Reese. On May 27, 1944, she married Wayne E. Wright in Long Beach, Calif. During World War II, she was a federal civil service employee in California.
Mrs. Wright was a member of the Waldron United Methodist Church and the Waldron Order of Eastern Star where she was a past matron.
She leaves her husband at home in Waldron; a son, Dwayne L. Wright of R.R. 1 Flat Rock; a brother, Clifton Reese, Carson, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. James (Marie) Zipperian, Shelbyville, and Mrs. Dorothy English, Carthage, Texas; and one grandchild. Two brothers prededed in death.
The Rev. Larry Beiderman conducted the funeral service for Mrs. Wright at 2 p.m. Monday at the Glenn E. George Funeral Home, St. Paul. An Eastern Star service was held at 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial was in Van Pelt Cemetery.
Friends called from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday and after 8:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Shelby County Cancer Association.
