Oldest son of Edward James Morris Sr. and Mary S. Allison. Brother of M.2.Chriswell A. Morris b. Aug 23, 1860. E.J. Sr. and his wife separated. Chris went with his mother, Ed Jr. with his father. He remained single. Worked in South America and was gone for years at a time. He worked as a teamster. He said he learned to feed his horses Johnson Grass to prevent them having shoulder galls. He died of goiter at the home of his step-brother Jack Felton in Nov 1912 in Bartlett.

Died aged 55 years and 8 days.

A precious one from us has gone,
A voice we loved is stilled.
A place is vacant in our home,
Which never can be filled.

God in His wisdom has recalled,
The boon His love has given.
And though the body slumbers here,
The soul is safe in Heaven
