Chad Paul Descant, 38, of Kentwood,LA., entered peacefully into eternal life on Monday, June 4, 2007.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Leo and Cora Ponthier and paternal grandmother, Girlie Descant.
Chad was a 1987 graduate of Bolton High School. He served on the U.S.S. Theodore Roosevelt during the Persian Gulf War from 1988-1992 where he was promoted to petty officer. He was a very funny, sincere, passionate and strong person who loved his family deeply.
Chad Descant is survived by his parents, Don and Linda Descant of Pineville; one brother, Timmy "Timbo" Descant of Pineville; one nephew, Hunter Descant of New Orleans; his grandfather, Webster Descant of Hessmer; his best friend, Roy Fredreckison of Kentwood; a host of relatives and friends.
Friends are asked to call from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 8:30 a.m. until time of service Thursday at John Kramer & Son.
A Christian Wake service will be held at 6:30p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Clayton Aymond, Derik Watts, Jason Fuqua, Tommy Laborde, D.C. Searcy, Madison Lachney.
