URANIA ELIZABETH WILSON
Urania "Billie" Wilson 1516 Jackson Ave., died Monday at her home at the age of 81. She was the last member of her family. Mrs. Wilson was born on Sept. 13, 1903, the daughter of John and Ida (Carlton) Hunter in Andover, Maine. Shortly after her birth, her family moved to La Grande. She married Charles Eugene Wilson in La Grande in 1924 and has lived in the house that he built for her the past 60 years. He preceded her in death on Sept. 27, 1974. She was a member of the Eagles Lodge and Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church. Survivors include her son Edwyn (Buddy) of Honolulu; daughters Eleanor Campbell of Imbler, Evelyn Horn of Everett, Wash. and Betty Snell of Hermiston; 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, one great great-grandchild and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her son Earl on Aug. 6, 1980. Grave side services will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the Island City Cemetery, Union County, Oregon, Island City, Union County, Oregon with Father Joseph Kelbel of Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church officiating. Friends may call at Daniels Valley Funeral Chapel this evening and until noon on Friday. Those who wish, may make contributions in Mrs. Wilson's memory to the American Cancer Society in care of Daniels Chapel, 1502 Seventh St., La Grande.
