Augusta Wilde was born in the village of Hoselbush, Kries Saldien Province, Brondenburg, Prussia, December 26, 1849 and came with her parents to America in 1867, locating on a homestead just over in Jefferson county, which she owned until her death.
She was married to Henry Jones, in 1870. To this union were born eleven children, five of whom have passed away. Those living are Will, Ernest and Ed. of Western; Bertha Zade, Clara McAdams, of Daykin; Anna Klegg, of Omaha. The husband died 17 years ago, and the wife and mother of the above passed away after a lingering illness, Saturday, Jauary (sic) 18, 1919, aged 69 years and 22 days.
The funeral was on Tuesday from the home in Western conducted by Rev. Schuelze of the Lutheran church, 5 miles south and interment in the cemetery in the church yard 5 miles south of Western
